Brownstone Doors

Brownstone Doors

Let the architecture speak for itself and keep it smart and simple.
while brownstones are full of charm, the most important thing is to keep the character of the house and not to do too much with their high ceilings pocket doors, plaster walls and ornamental moldings, they can also be dark–the windows are only in the front and back of the building, having the right front door is crucial and amighini architectural can be the perfect assistance you need in your renovation….

Dozens of the beautiful doors you’ve seen while walking past brooklyn’s historic brownstones have been replaced or restored by amighini architectural of jersey city. our family business is dedicated to providing rare doors, structural and decorative elements culled and salvaged from historic residences, palaces, parks, hotels and other buildings from throughout the world.

All items are 100 percent original and have been restored to maintain their original likeness. many companies can strip paint from wood, sand it down and re-paint it, but our company takes care to use solvents that won’t raise the wood grain as much as some harsher solvents that other companies may use. This means that there is less sanding of the wood and ultimately less damage to the original structure itself. We also use special solvents to remove years of paint and wear from brick and metal as well as specialized restorative services for original marble too.in our 20,000 square foot showroom, amighini offers thousands of unique, unusual, and hard-to-find doors. We also fabricate many specialty items foccusing on doors such as brownstone and victorian doors, also made from antique wood and lumber.
